crashed

I was cleaning downstairs (getting ready to host Rebecca and Debbie Thursday!) when I realized I hadn't heard Trevor in a while. I went up to check on him. Poor kiddo. Knocked out cold on the couch at 10:20 am.

Saturday, February 25

can you canoe

Today we tried out the new canoe rentals on Lake Woodlands. It was a little chilly once we started getting wet but we figured it's better than sweltering heat!

Bryce LOVED it and wanted to stay another hour. Spencer and I were boat buddies. Trevor cried after getting bonked with the paddle and a little wet. Luckily a few dogs and cranes were swimming close by.

A great family afternoon activity. I love the weekend!

Daddy's office

The boys LOVE going up to Daddy's office. He took us up today (Saturday) while no one else would be around. A highlight is always each one getting their quarter for the vending machine.

Bryce got an extra Pop Tart from the machine.

Trevor is starting to get into the spirit of Daddy's office:)

1st Pine Wood Derby

Bryce's 1st Pine Wood Derby

We had no idea the serious nature of our ward's Pine Wood Derby competition. We couldn't believe how many decorations and effort went into making the night a NASCAR level event. After the boys registered their cars and made their laminated licenses, the racing (on the electronic race track) started. I loved watching Bryce's excitement with each race. After each race he would run over to me and tell me how he'd done. (2 first place starts at this point). His car did remarkably well for our first try at this car making thing.

Spencer was such a great supporter to Bryce's car--Silver Lightening Bolt. He cheered for all 10 heats. So cute.

Bryce took 2nd overall. His friend Garrett (in his class at school) took 1st. It was a very memorable evening.

Thursday, February 23

great afternoon

We spent the afternoon with some of our good friends. We discovered a new park! The boys had a blast jumping on their trampoline, swinging on the huge tire swing, and playing tag/hide and go seek. Spencer got to play with their marble track-which he still thinks is the most amazing thing ever!

I loved seeing the new things they had added to their new Beautiful home! It makes me want to start all over and decorate our home so lovely. I'm really grateful for good friends.
